Phase-shifting interferometry based on the lateral displacement of the light source

In this paper, we show how to induce phase shifts in the Twyman-Green Interferometer by the lateral displacement of the point laser source. Thus, interferometric measurements can be performed without the use of expensive and complicated phase shifters.
