Ronchi test
The Ronchi test is one of the simplest and most powerful methods to evaluate the aberrations of optical systems. Usually, the Ronchi test is used to perform qualitative evaluations although quantitative measurements are possible. This is mainly due to the required mathematical models and data processing algorithms are still in development. In this research, we apply the phase-based approach to evaluate optical surfaces using the Ronchi test. Alternatively, our results can be applied to align optical arrangements.
The following list summarizes some results of our research in this project.
- Ronchi test modeled using inverse ray-tracing.
- Evaluation of focal length of mirrors using the Ronchi test.
