Adaptive matched filter for implicit-target recognition: application in three-dimensional reconstruction
What's it about?
Matched filters require explicit knowledge of the target. This limits the usefulness of the filters where the target is unspecified or dynamically changing. This research presents the design of an adaptive correlation filter for targets with implicit shape and embedded on a cluttered background in the image. As an application, the proposed filter is used in a stereo system to detect point correspondences for three-dimensional scene reconstruction.
